Hillside Animal Sanctuary:

Hillside Animal Sanctuary was founded in 1995 to help and campaign for animals in need’ and most importantly, to bring public awareness to the millions of animals suffering every day in the intensive factory farming industry. Although at Hillside we have given sanctuary to 300 horses, ponies and donkeys, most of our residents have been rescued from the
farming industry.

The Build up to Christmas.

So, we’re well and truly into November now and Christmas has been building up now for about a month! I performed at the Chapelfield mall christmas lights switch on the 4th November and supported ‘Bob The Builder’ (one thing ticked off my to do list!). Straight after me, the amazing Dumbfoundus performed to round the evening off. And thanks to them for inviting me on stage to join them for the last few songs!

Currently, I’m off to North Walsham tonight to do a 4th and final session with the kids at the KICKZ sessions run by ‘Football in the Comminity’. There’s going to be an interesting MC battle tonight I think!

Rehearsals are taking place up at the Garage for the other xmas lights switch on outside City Hall on the 18th November were the young people from the Overdrive project (during last half term) will be performing their musical theatre piece with a beatboxing twist!

On the same night, I’m performing alongside The Stilhouettes to do a re-worked version of a Christmas song, which will be completely A Capella with NO backing track. should be amazing!

Then on the 25th November also I’m performing with Jo, of the Stilhouettes, at Beluga bar with some other amazing musicians which I’m looking forward to!

All busy… anyway.. another update soon!

A Quick Update

It seems like its been ages since I’ve blogged anything at all, so here’s little update of what I’ve been up to over the last couple of months.

Cromer Seaside Special is all finished. I ended up doing 6 children’s shows on Friday afternoons and I appeared in 3 main shows during the Cromer carnival week. I had an awesome time being in the show and everyone who was part of it was awesome…. All LEGENDS!

I also went in for the ‘Search for a Star’ competition at Hunstanton’s Princess theatre during the summer. I entered the heat and did ok. I came 2nd place. Each entrant had a 10 minute slot… Unfortunately I went over by a couple of minutes and lost 13 points per judge, otherwise I would have won and been in the final… oops. There’s always next year. (There’s actually a little video of me having a Jam with another entrant backstage. Check it out here!)

You may have also seen me and lots of other talented young people from The Garage outside the Forum performing for the BLUE MOON WALK in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. It was a wicked hours slot. We had beatboxing, MCing, Street Dance, Popping, locking, breakdancing and tricking.

As for workshops… Cultureworks, Based in Norwich, have got me involved in a project called ‘Vocalise’ linked with the Garage. We’re currently delivering some sessions in Brundall and Attleborough over the next 6 or 7 weeks.

Anyway, some of the other stuff coming up…..

- Tonight I will be at Norwich’s City Academy for the Relay For Life event in aid of Cancer Research UK. I think I’m performing at around 8pm.  There’s lots happening there all day from music to fun fairs.

- OXJAM @ Knowhere bar, Norwich. That kicks off at 7.30pm on 8th October 2010.

So, thanks for reading. Another update will be up soon!
